The Gemini Paradox

About Me

The Story Behind the Paradox

Hi, I’m Cathy—and this space is my paradox. I’m a Registered Dental Hygienist who still gets excited about organizing trays, but also someone who cries over late-night songs and snack cravings. I built this blog for the same reason I floss every day: because small acts of care matter.

Professionally, I’m passionate about making oral health approachable (and lowkey aesthetic). Personally, I’m all about healing, solo cozy energy, and building a soft life that still gets shit done.

You’ll find me somewhere between chaos and clarity, probably making a checklist while avoiding it, drinking a strong matcha latte, and reminding myself: we keep going. — ✨ —

My greatest teacher was my beautiful beagle, Bryan—my soul dog, son, and constant companion for 15.5 years. He taught me loyalty, softness, and that unconditional love absolutely exists. Everything I build now carries a piece of him in it.

Grief still hangs in the corners of my days. Some mornings, the ache of missing him makes it hard to move. But I do. I get up, I floss, I work, I write. Not because I’m healed, but because I know he’d want me to keep going.

“Some days I cry over my dog, my life, my lunch—and then I wipe my tears, pull myself together with a snack and a soft sigh, and get shit done. Because I may be sad, but I’m still that bitch.”
