Frodo: The Ringbearer of Gut Health
Frodo didn’t look like he was struggling. But he was carrying something heavy—and he just kept walking.
That’s what gut healing feels like sometimes.
You wake up bloated again. Your sleep was fragmented. Your mood is weird. Your body doesn’t feel like home. And even though you’re eating better, drinking more water, cutting back on caffeine, and maybe even taking a fancy supplement or two—you still feel like a trash bag of symptoms with a pretty face.
Still, the healing is happening beneath the surface.
Just like Frodo carrying the ring across mountains, swamps, and emotionally unstable terrain, gut healing is a quiet, brave task. No one claps when you say no to late night ice cream. No one congratulates you for not snacking when you’re bored. No one applauds the tiny decision to switch from coffee to matcha. But each one of those things matters.
Because the ring is inflammation. And you’re carrying it every day.
Until one day you won’t have to anymore.
And that’s why Frodo starts the fellowship.
He doesn’t know what’s ahead. He just knows he can’t keep it in the Shire.
So he walks.
You’re walking too. Every time you choose rest. Every time you drink water instead of soda. Every time you check the ingredient label or take your supplement. Every time you slow down enough to hear your body whisper something it’s been trying to tell you for years.
You’re on your way to Mordor. But you’re not going alone.
This is the fellowship of the healing.
Here’s what’s helped Frodo (and my gut):
Seed Daily Synbiotic (probiotic + prebiotic that doesn’t upset my stomach)
Thorne L-Glutamine Powder (heals gut lining + reduces bloating)
MoonBrew (my evening elven tonic that genuinely improves sleep)
A splash of coconut creamer in my MudWTR matcha (goodbye coffee anxiety)
Warm lemon water with Baja Gold Mineral Sea Salt every morning (electrolytes + digestion boost)
You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to start walking.
Next chapter: Sam. The support system you didn’t know your gut was waiting for.
Every healing quest is better with a furry companion by your side.
